PsiKick Co-CTO and Co-Founder to Speak on Industrial Analytics at IoT Evolution Expo

January 30, 2019

PsiKick, a venture-backed startup for wireless, batteryless IoT sensing systems, has announced that its Co-CTO and Co-Founder, David Wentzloff, will speak this week on a panel at the IoT Evolution Expo, taking place January 29 through February 1 at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

On Thursday, January 31 at 9:00 am ET, Wentzloff will participate on the panel “More About Industrial Analytics” in Grand Ballroom E.  Joined by fellow panelist Prabhu Patil, CEO at PROLIM and moderator Riccardo Di Blasio, Global Head of Sales at DXC Technology, Wentzloff will explore the ways that factory assets and inventory can be tracked with sensors and how industrial IoT can enable businesses to gain insights into almost all components of factory operations.

Wentzloff co-founded PsiKick in 2012 and now serves as the company’s Co-Chief Technology Officer.  He received the BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, and the Ph.D. degree from MIT.  Since 2007, he has been on the faculty at the University of Michigan, where he is an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

“Industrial IoT is enabling businesses to gain greater insight into systems to allow for streamlined processes, cost savings and more, but the challenge of delivering power to all of these sensors limits the IoT’s full potential,” said Wentzloff. “PsiKick has developed batteryless sensors that are powered exclusively from small amounts of harvested energy that give businesses continuous system status information without gaps in sensor up-time due to battery failure or the hassle of replacing those batteries.”

Last year, PsiKick announced its Steam Trap Monitor (STM), which is designed to continuously analyze steam traps to deliver cost-saving insights across a range of industrial environments. The STM marked the first solution in the PsiKick ESP line of completely self-powered, batteryless systems designed to deliver real-time insight through the collection, communication, and analysis of sensed data.

The IoT Evolution Expo, and collocated events, IoT Evolution Health, LPWAN Expo, The Smart City Event, and IIoT Conference, will take place Jan. 29 to Feb 1 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Visit IoTEvolutionExpo.com to register now.
