It's IoT Time: IoT Evolution 2020 is Over, But the Story Continues!

By Ken Briodagh

What a week!

Folks, we are finally starting to dig through all the learning, connections and amazing experiences that came out of last week’s IoT Evolution Expo and we want to thank all of you that joined us live in Ft. Lauderdale for the event.

Our speakers and panelists really knocked it out of the park, helping to educate and collaborate with attendees on topics from the Intelligent Edge to the Industrial IoT and the Smart City. One highlight was out brand new IoToolBox track, which examined the building block technologies that make up the core of the IoT, including sensors and modules, connectivity options, device management tools and all the platforms in the IoT-verse.

For my freshest (and most exhausted) thoughts, take a listen to the most recent episode of the IoT Time Podcast here. (Don’t forget to subscribe!)

One of my favorite moments from the show was our Awarding of the Annual IoT Evolution Expo Best in Show Awards, which we announced here. Congrats especially to NimbeLink and Losant, who each took home a Best in Show/Best IoT Use Case of the Year Award!

Looking ahead, we have big moves afoot here at IoT Evolution – most of which are still top secret. But, a few things I can tease, and a few others I can show. To tease: keep your eyes on the #IoTTime hashtag on Twitter, there will be exciting things afoot; also look out for the rise of IoT Evolution Digital (which I’ll define for you later).

There are a couple of exciting developments I can tell you about, right now, however. First up: Join the new LinkedIn group IoT Evolution & IoT Time Community where we hope to share exciting news and podcasts, and even more, to foster conversations among you, our valued community members.

Finally, it’s never too early to think about next year! To that end, we want you to join us for IoT Evolution Expo 2021 in Miami at the Miami Beach Convention Center! Now’s the time to do it and get all the perks of being early. Click here to get in touch. Of course, you can feel free to reach out to me directly any time.

That’s all for now, but there’s lots to come and even more to get excited about, so let’s make 2020 a year of IoT vision (see what I did there?), and Evolution (and there?).
