FreeWave Technologies' FGR3-IO Levels Up Businesses' Remote Operations in IIoT

Whether you’re tackling a general Internet of Things (IoT) project or one specific to the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) or other modern “of Things” applications, there are two questions that experts recommend asking throughout design, development, real-world implementation, you name it:

  • “Is our solution providing the secure, streamlined connectivity and productivity that customers need?”
  • “Do we understand the data to properly make well-informed decisions?”

Both questions are important for a whole cornucopia of reasons; no doubts there. The second question, though, is one specifically asked by the innovators at FreeWave Technologies.

FreeWave recognizes that real success demands more than just capturing raw data; it requires in-depth understanding that drives better decision-making processes for connected operations, which in turn require real-time insights.

And so, the wheel of IoT turns.

FreeWave connects customers with the mission-critical capabilities they need to capitalize on the constantly changing landscape of IIoT; for cost-saving opportunities, production optimizations, and overall sustainable growth.

To that end, FreeWave made a recent announcement that we’d like to share:

FreeWave announced the launch of its latest enhancement for IIoT use cases – the FGR3-IO, designed to elevate the capabilities of 900 MHz remote IoT/IIoT connect and control networks (i.e. particularly for industrial operations, utilities, agriculture, oil and gas, etc.)

Per the official release, the following are the FGR3-IO’s key features:

  • Enhanced Connectivity: Equipped with advanced communication protocols, the FGR3-IO delivers robust and reliable connectivity, enabling seamless data transmission over long distances in challenging environments.
  • Expanded I/O Capabilities: With an expandable array of input/output options (including analog and digital inputs, relay outputs, and RS-485 serial communication), the FGR3-IO provides immense flexibility and scalability to accommodate diverse IIoT applications.
  • Advanced Security: Built-in encryption and authentication mechanisms ensure secure data transmission to protect critical infrastructure and sensitive information from cyber threats and unauthorized access.
  • Remote Monitoring and Control: The FGR3-IO empowers operators with real-time monitoring and control capabilities, enabling remote management of assets, processes and equipment with greater ease and precision.
  • Seamless Integration: Designed for smooth integration with existing infrastructure and third-party systems, the FGR3-IO simplifies deployment and minimizes downtime, accelerating time-to-value and maximizing ROI.

Sue Moore, Vice President of Marketing at FreeWave, had this to say:

“We are thrilled to introduce the FGR3-IO, the latest addition to our comprehensive portfolio of industrial IoT solutions. With its popular features and unmatched scalability, the FGR3-IO is poised to expand industrial network capabilities, allowing organizations to unlock unparalleled levels of efficiency, productivity and profitability.”
