A 'Truly Great' Match for IIoT: Avassa and OnLogic Establish Partnership

By Alex Passett
April 18, 2024

Let’s talk about Avassa, OnLogic, and their exciting new partnership.

Avassa, in a word, makes edge management and orchestration simpler. The Avassa team — stacked with edge platform experts — specialize in container application and AI model management at the edge. With its all-software, easy-to-use solution, Avassa dismantles undue complexities when deploying, monitoring, securing and operating containerized applications in on-site edge environments, making this overall process as comfortable to manage as the central cloud.

OnLogic creates simple, yet highly configurable and solutions-focused small form factor computers for industrial manufacturing. Its systems operate in incredibly rugged and legitimately challenging environments; with advanced ingress protection and resistance to extreme temperatures (plus variable power and vibration forces), OnLogic hardware is built to last in use cases spanning numerous verticals.

Avassa’s software in one hand, and OnLogic’s hardware in the other.

Given this article’s title, let’s put these two together, shall we?

Avassa and OnLogic officially joined forces.

This is big; transformations across IIoT point to “clear movement towards the intelligent edge,” as the Avassa-OnLogic announcement describes, “with fully containerized applications making the management of cloud-connected IIoT applications easier.”

Thus, through next-gen software and hardware solutions that meet (and, of course, exceed) IIoT demands, Avassa and OnLogic are set to deliver a full-stack, purpose-built solution, enabling enterprise operations to make the most of their “of Things” systems in a central and secure manner.

Edge-specific challenges? Consider them simplified with Avassa’s Edge Platform and OnLogic’s industrial computers.

From Carl Moberg, Avassa’s Chief Technical Officer:

“Avassa and OnLogic is a truly great match for several reasons. We often talk to customers who are building a new generation of IoT edge infrastructure, and that includes both edge computers and a software platform for managing edge and IoT applications. Just like the Avassa platform, OnLogic is what we call edge-native, purpose-built for distributed edge and IoT environments. Together we can offer customers a full-stack solution that excels in solving the unique challenges of the edge."

And from Kim Wasserman, OnLogic’s Vice President of Product Management:

“We're thrilled to partner with Avassa to help provide enterprise customers a comprehensive solution for containerization and orchestration for modern edge deployments. heir software solutions are a beautiful compliment to our rugged and reliable hardware for IIoT applications and beyond. Like us, Avassa does everything they can to empower customers on their journey to innovation at the edge. We're excited to offer OEMs, end users, and solution providers a more comprehensive solution for managing applications at the edge, and turning their data into actionable insights and ROI.”
