SenRa Marks 60 City LoRaWAN Milestone in India

January 02, 2020

SenRa, a PAN-India provider of Low-Power Wide-Area Networks (LPWAN) for long range-based Internet of Things (IoT) applications, announced it has deployed 60 LoRaWAN networks in a growing number of cities.

The company aspires to deploy network coverage across India in 100 cities by 2020, part of the Government of India's Smart City Mission.

When India is stepping towards “Digital India,” IoT networks are an integral part of the infrastructure of Smart Cities and the cornerstone of this revolutionary initiative. SenRa and various other service providers in India are contributing considerably to transform India digitally.

SenRa has been a leader in establishing LPWANs across India for projects which entail secure, reliable, long-distance communication at low cost. SenRa is commissioning with global partners to employ smart solutions for water metering, smart agriculture, smart lighting, logistics and digital gas meters.

Taking the health threats into account, which is the result of climate change, population growth, and the demands placed upon city governments to avail services to citizens, India’s national Smart City mission is a step towards more sustainable and friendly India. SenRa’s LoRaWAN network is a gateway to support smart city smart projects including parking, waste management, street lighting, and utilities. The company’s recent IoT analytics platform, Ginjer, has become popular for IoT end-to-end solutions.

“We are very excited to be an integral part of India’s digital transformation”, said SenRa CEO, Ali Hosseini. “I am proud of our team for continuing to meet the aggressive deployment goals set forth all while maintaining our standards of high-quality reliable networks.”

SenRa is on track to deploy its public LoRaWAN network in 100 cities by the end of 2020 which will be critical in supporting the massive IoT deployments in Smart Cities led by utilities and energy metering projects.
