Private Network Services: Logicalis Launches its Private Network Services with Cisco

By Alex Passett
April 17, 2023

Global cloud technology solutions and MSP Logicalis self-describes as, quote, “Architects of Change.” With a dedicated team of more than 7,000 experts, Logicalis uses its deep technological proficiencies to orchestrate digital transformations; to date, the company has done so with more than 10,000 clients with end-to-end capabilities and modern managed services. Building blueprints for its customers’ successes and delivering the kind of sustainable outcomes our world deserves is, in essence, this change of vision behind what Logicalis takes on.

This week, Logicalis officially announced the launch of its Private Network Services. Not only that, but its Private Network Services are powered by Cisco, the “Strong Security, Made Simple” multinational digital communications conglomerate. Since 2015, Cisco has provided private cellular solutions and other professional service offerings for low-latency, ultra-reliable 5G connectivity even in hard-to-reach locations, making it a more-than-ideal player in the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) space.

It's also worth noting that Logicalis is a Cisco Global Gold integrator, meaning it works with Cisco’s networking leadership (and a whole ecosystem of carrier services) to take its own deep MSP expertise and deliver full-stack, subscription-based networking. So now, Logicalis’ Private Network Services – based on Cisco’s Private 5G architecture – bring secure and highly available connectivity for mission-critical applications across sectors like manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, oil and gas, mining and more.

That said, even already as a Cisco Global Gold integrator, Logicalis is, quote, “the first U.S. partner to deliver Cisco Private 5G-as-a-Service.” This covers professional services for site evaluation and product deployments and implementations, in addition to its ongoing support for on-site engineering. (i.e. site preparation, solution component ordering, SIM management, customer profile creation, core and RAN installations, etc.)

"Connectivity is crucial to prepare organizations for Industry 4.0, and our Private Network Services will help set up our customers for success by bringing the power of 5G and Wi-Fi together in places where solely Wi-Fi isn't enough," said Chris Calvert, Vice President of Private Wireless Services for Logicalis. "And with Cisco, this offering can help lower costs, integrate with existing infrastructures, improve reliability, and give customers greater simplicity and control, all while ensuring data security through a locally managed network."
