“Automate your manufacturing floor in days with a single cloud platform for designing, automating, ordering and deploying your equipment.”
That’s the mission of Vention; to make industrial automation more efficient and more accessible for all manufacturers. Etienne Lacroix, Vention’s CEO, understands that the process of designing, simulating, procuring and commissioning IIoT equipment can unfortunately be complex and slow. Still, Lacroix’s vision – building out IIoT in much more straightforward and enjoyable ways – is achievable.
“Imagine a world where you, in turn, imagine a machine in the morning and build it in the afternoon,” Lacroix said. “That’s why we’re reengineering the approaches to industrial automation.”
This is why, back in 2017, Vention became a UR+ partner; “UR” being Universal Robots. UR’s automation-for-anyone-and-anywhere robots and cobots are cost-effective and flexible, and they work closely and efficiently with human team members in various manufacturing environments.
And now, as an established UR+ partner, Vention announced that it is one of only a few UR+ partners to become a Certified Solution Partner (CSP, in this case). With official CSP certification, Vention’s compatibility with UR is further validated, as are the robust, industrial hardware and software in which it operates.
From 2017 to this present-day announcement, Vention has developed a large portfolio of UR+-certified applications and components, including the cobot palletizer, cobot range extender, MachineLogic, MachineMotion and other certified innovations. So, it’s through these custom offerings that users of Vention’s developments can take full advantage of their modular and customizable solutions “to create UR-based robot cells in record time, resulting in fast payback for manufacturers and automation providers,” one spokesperson said.
Moreover, being a CSP with UR means Vention’s product range will likely expand even further. Whether they’ll produce more module and plug-and-play solutions, other new software releases or whatever else their future holds, Vention is “only scratching the very surface of what can really be done when combining intuitive software, modular hardware, and robots,” said Patrick Halde, Chief Growth Officer at Vention.
“Vention has supported over 1,000 Universal Robot deployments in North America and Europe with its unique expertise in the design and deployment of smart, collaborative solutions,” said UR’s Regional Sales Director Bryan Bird. “And since our CSP program recognizes deployment excellence and hard-fought commitment to increased integration capacity that benefits our customers, we know Vention is a great fit for the program. It’s the logical next step in our partnership, and we’re excited to deploy even more cobot applications together.”
