Telit Cinterion's deviceWISE AI Visual Inspection Tool Streamlines IIoT

Telit Cinterion – Integrated IoT connectivity solutions, and at any scale.”

Telit Cinterion helps business unlock precisely that; seamlessly integrated connections for IoT that redefine business models and improve lives in more ways than one. Today’s hyperconnected world demands operations with these in place; secure, transformative digital solutions for visibility and control of IoT ecosystems, both reliable and strong.

Telit Cinterion knows IoT and the intelligent edge, which is why the provider made the announcement earlier about its pre-release of its deviceWISE AI Visual Inspection tool.

Here’s the lowdown:

deviceWISE is an AI-driven solution that enables professionals like automakers, those in healthcare, energy, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, manufacturing, and plenty more to, per this announcement’s official press release, “optimize quality control, productivity and profitability.” (And, of course, customer satisfaction.) Designed for an assortment of use cases on the factory floor and beyond, the deviceWISE AI Visual Inspection tool can provide granular, actionable insights critical for business success in demanding spaces, including just-in-time manufacturing (JITM) and Industry 4.0, as a whole.

With this deviceWISE AI tool, manufacturers get a turnkey solution for collecting visual inspection data from devices (that’s then fed into analytics platforms) so operators can identify and appropriately address emerging quality control (QC) challenges involving employee workstations, industrial robots and “cobots,” CNC machines, etc.

Deployable both on-prem and in the cloud for max user convenience, deviceWISE:

  • Leverages the latest visual AI technologies to detect problems like missing bolts, improperly installed product badges, bad welds, misaligned seams, and others.
  • Uses a broad array of technologies from the NVIDIA Metropolis stack – NVIDIA Jetson Edge AI Platform, DeepStream SDK and TensorRT SDK.
  • Provides customizable algorithms for on-the-fly model training deployment.
  • Integrates seamlessly with a wide range of factory floor equipment such as cameras, PLCs, robots and CNC machines, as well as enterprise software systems including AWS, IBM Maximo, Microsoft Azure IoT, SAP and Siemens.

deviceWISE AI Visual Inspection amplifies flexible, scalable IIoT resources in an easy-to-use way, boosting throughput and improving quality and control in manufacturing processes.

"deviceWISE AI Visual Inspection significantly enhances the ability of manufacturers to quickly find and fix problems directly affecting their competitiveness and bottom line," said Ricardo Buranello, SVP of IoT Platforms Business Unit, Telit Cinterion. "deviceWISE is an IIoT platform that enables manufacturers to collect, transform and integrate data from any machine to any IT system, creating full applications for both Industry 4.0 and digital transformation. This will provide everything manufacturers need to disruptively innovate on their manufacturing processes."

Full release of this deviceWISE AI Visual Inspection capability is expected later this year.
