Mouser Electronics and Panasonic Industrial Automation Sign a New Agreement to Benefit Design Engineers in IIoT

By Alex Passett
January 15, 2024

Let’s talk about Mouser Electronics and Panasonic Industrial Automation within the context of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) in 2024.

Mouser, an authorized distributor of semiconductors and additional electronic components, serves electronic design engineers with more than 27 support locations around the globe. (The company also specializes in what it describes as “the rapid introduction of the newest products and technologies targeting design engineer and buyer communities.) Mouser conducts its business with additional support in 23 different languages and 34 separate forms of currency.

Panasonic, in turn, is already a well-known brand – Panasonic Industrial Automation (or Panasonic Industrial Devices Sales Company of America, or simply Panasonic for this news story) is no exception. Its devices and solutions categories include capacitors, electromechanical and wireless connectivity components, resistors, inductors, relays, connectors, sensors, semiconductors, circuit protection and thermal management necessities and much more. (e.g. rechargeable and non-rechargeable consumer batteries, compressors, etc.) Panasonic strives to provide manufacturers with reliable and high-quality technologies that power a wide variety of applications across sectors.

Recently, Mouser and Panasonic announced a distribution agreement – Mouser will officially offer Panasonic’s selection of integrated solutions to drive significant automation market impacts; automotive, semiconductor, packaging, and bio-medical, to name a few.

“We’re quite excited about our continued work with Mouser,” stated Dan Litts, General Manager of Distribution, Panasonic Electric Works. “Their strong reputation of customer service, inventory, and design services within the engineering community bodes very well for the design engineering community.”

Panasonic themselves already offers an extensive portfolio that is chock-full of advanced products like its EX-10 ultra-slim photoelectric sensors and its FP0R programmable controller, a pocket-sized device that provides large data memory and program capacity in a conveniently small package. Now, Mouser will offer these as well, among others.
