Alright, readers. Check this out:
OrionStar Robotics, an innovator when it comes to service robot applications and self-developed, full-chain artificial intelligence technologies, has officially launched CarryBot.
What is CarryBot, exactly?
CarryBot, as you can see in the image above, has been described as the world’s first logistics robot that’s a purpose-built solution for micro-fulfillment centers, or MFCs. And MFCs are, make no mistake, quite relevant here; as small, highly automated warehouses (typically close to consumers) designed to shorten order response times and enhance overall rates of customer satisfaction.
In this vein, CarryBot delivers. (Pun intended.)
See, CarryBot’s versatile carrying attachments address a variety of modern material transport needs, which points to boosts in efficiency. CarryBot can also quickly adapt to dynamically changing environments using VSLAM, or visual simultaneous localization and mapping, technology. Though still in its early stages, VSLAM has enormous potential for robotics, augmented reality applications and more. (Plus with VSLAM, CarryBots don’t require pre-set markers or undue facility modifications.)
On top of all that, OrionStar’s CarryBot is equipped with LiDAR, depth cameras, collision protection sensors and emergency stop buttons, paving the way for comprehensive safety assurances (and necessary standards met) while enabling auto-navigation capabilities while being able to carry a net payload of up to 100 kilograms.
So, transporting bulk goods nearly effortlessly? How about hefty components? Larger, more sensitive warehouse inventory items?
Seems to us like CarryBot’s got ‘em.
But more importantly, CarryBot can eliminate the strain associated with manual handling, pointing further to maintaining long-term worker safety protocols. After all, OrionStar’s mission is to free people from repetitive and increasingly laborious tasks so they can confidently pursue other forms of meaningful work.
“The launch of CarryBot marks a significant breakthrough for OrionStar Robotics in logistics automation,” the company stated. “We remain committed to providing advanced technologies, and we will continue to help customers around the world succeed in their endeavors.”
