Howdy, readers. It may be a slow Monday for some, but let’s still make the best of it, shall we?
This afternoon, we’re talking about news related to OneLayer.
OneLayer (featured here over the summer in one of our many IoT Evolution World “ICYMI” Friday catch-ups) is on a mission to “unleash the full potential of private cellular and IoT,” in the company’s own words. OneLayer mainly actions this through strategic device security and asset management capabilities, and its teams provide multilayered (ironic at a glance, given the company’s name) zero trust solutions for private cellular/5G/LTE devices in enterprise IoT/IIoT, uniting them to offer customers a no-expertise-required approach for new use cases (particularly involving asset discovery, persistent asset tracking, and cellular network segmentation).
We should also talk about Nokia real quick.
Already a well-known cross-industry name, we’ve penned several stories about Nokia. They include the following:
And today (as I’m sure you already anticipated, at this point), we’ve got news regarding both OneLayer and Nokia:
The two companies have eagerly announced their partnership.
The goal of it?
To integrate OneLayer’s Zero-Trust, Zero-Touch asset management and security solutions with the Nokia MX Industrial Edge (MXIE) platform.
Under the official terms of this partnership, OneLayer’s solutions will be bundled with the Nokia Private Wireless network offerings, providing a "OneLayer Inside" option available through any Nokia seller or reseller worldwide. (While also, notably, benefiting Nokia to offer OneLayer’s capabilities as part of its Industrial Application Catalog.)
"OneLayer's partnership with Nokia represents a significant milestone in our mission to secure private networks at scale,” explained David Mor, OneLayer’s CEO. “By becoming a part of the Nokia MXIE platform, OneLayer has positioned itself to help more enterprises worldwide achieve secure and efficient operations from day one.”
Mor commented further on the nature of the one-touch installation for customers, which can significantly reduce industrial deployment complexities. “Embedding our solution into private wireless networks enables hassle-free, straightforward and secure systems,” he said, “and for Nokia, it helps build crucial protection for all use cases.”
Sure sounds like a win-win to us.
