On the Plus Side: Digi International Lowers IIoT Adoption Barriers with T-Mobile's Partner Plus Program

By Alex Passett
October 16, 2024

Not too long ago, IIoT solutions provider Digi International announced the launch of Digi 360, a subscription-based offering that supports simplified deployment visibility and optimized ROI for Digi’s cellular routers. (Read our full story on Digi 360 here.)

This obviously isn’t Digi’s first connectivity-empowerment rodeo either, so to speak; since 1985, Digi has been fine-tuning its solutions that adapt with the times and the technological breakthroughs that have come with them.

And in what seems like no time at all, Digi has made headlines once again.

Here’s the scoop:

Today, Digi International officially announced its participation in the recently launched T-Mobile Partner Plus channel subsidy program.

For those unaware, this T-Mobile Partner Plus program is designed to make 5G adoption more accessible for businesses spanning diverse industries. It provides a substantial subsidy credit of up to $700, which — in this story’s case — makes Digi’s high-performance routers even more affordable when it comes to teams budgeting for requisite wireless networking needs.

By availing its EX50 5G, TX40 5G, and IX40 5G cellular routers with reduced prices, Digi International is striving to eliminate worrisome adoption obstacles, enabling businesses to strategically leverage the capabilities of 5G for a myriad of IIoT use cases they may not have been able to tap into until now.

According to the announcement itself, this collaboration “underscores both Digi and T-Mobile’s commitment to breaking down barriers to 5G adoption and enhancing the digital transformation journey for businesses across the nation.”

“At Digi, we remain committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions that empower businesses to stay connected and competitive in today’s digital landscape,” explained Tony Puopolo, President and General Manager of Digi Managed Solutions at Digi International. “Joining the T-Mobile Partner Plus program allows us to provide our industry-leading 5G routers at an even more cost-effective price point, minimizing adoption barriers and making it easier for businesses to make the transition — deploying secure and reliable 5G connectivity.”
